Most of us go into therapy with the dream of being whole and living joyful lives once we’re through. We do the really tough emotional work of healing from old wounds, and, at some point, we recognize that we’re “done” with therapy. There is a point when there are no more gaping wounds, and we feel like more therapy is just not the answer.
That doesn’t mean we feel exactly whole yet, though … and our lives may not yet reach the joyful heights we dreamed of when we started. If you’ve been through therapy, you likely know exactly what I mean.
You dream of something more…and yet you don’t really know what “more” is. Further, you were sure that when you had done your healing work, you’d be happy, pursuing your dreams, and enjoying your life.
You never envisioned wondering what your dreams are, experiencing a vague dissatisfaction, and feeling a bit disappointed that all of that hard work didn’t bring you what you truly wanted.
It can also feel a little bit lonely because no one really understands why you are not satisfied. Your therapist thinks you are done, your loved ones don’t know how to help, and you, yourself, cannot even fully identify the problem.
It’s like the whole world is there for you to explore and enjoy…and you don’t really know where – or how – to start.
I get it – my work is helping people like you bridge the gap between finishing therapy and living that joyful life you worked so hard for in therapy. In order to do that, the first step is sharing this metaphor with you:
Your Life as a House
When you arrive on the planet, you choose your soul’s land for this lifetime. Each person’s soul’s land is unique and contains the blueprint for who they are and what they love in this life.
Your soul’s land is perfect for you, but you need shelter to live and interact with the world. This is what I call your house – the social constructs that allow you to relate to others and the world. In an ideal world, your house perfectly suits your soul’s land in design, style, size, etc.
Trauma of any kind can severely interfere with the building process, leaving us with varying degrees of shacks.
Therapy is the process of tearing down what doesn’t work…
and rebuilding it to suit your soul’s land.
The only problem with this is that we often expect to have a complete, fully furnished, decorated house when we are done with therapy, and this is almost never the case. Therapy gives us the key foundation, support and framing to create the type of beautiful house we desire.
We often dream that when we’re done, we’ll stroll into our (metaphorical) living room, and find it almost exactly as we’d like:
When the reality is that you could have anything from a solid frame with insulation to plain drywall to paint and one uncomfortable chair in this room.
The key to navigating this odd, unidentified space right after therapy is recognizing that there is still construction and design to do.
My programs are built to help you create that metaphorical gorgeous living room – by finishing construction and helping you identify what a finished living room looks like to you. All of my programs have the same goal – the only difference between them is where you left off construction when you were done with therapy.
The process of therapy is different for each of us, and we are “done” in different places. So many factors go into where you leave off construction – insurance, your therapist’s focus, the amount of demolition you had to do in the first place, the intensity of the work – that “done” is a pretty wide spectrum.
My programs are designed to get you from wherever you are in the construction and decoration process to a finished house, a fully decorated room and a design plan for the rest of the house.
You can explore the programs more in-depth below:
Transformation (One Year of Personal Coaching including the Redecorate e-course)
My most intensive program, designed for you if you are done with therapy and your dream life still feels pretty far away. There might be multiple areas of your life you are not satisfied with, and you likely feel like you don’t really know what it would take to build that dream life. In this program, we complete construction on your house as a priority, and then get to play with design.

Renovation ( 6 Months of Personal Coaching including the Redecorate e-course)
This program is ideal for you if you are generally satisfied with your life today, but you have one area that is not working. You may be convinced that if you can just get this one thing right, everything else will fall into place. In this program, we evaluate construction and renovate when necessary, and then get to play with design.

Redecorate (Rekindle Your Passion + Life Evaluation + Personal Coaching)
Your house is so close to being done! The walls are complete, there is fresh paint, and some furniture…but it may not be exactly what you were hoping for when you finished therapy. This program combines a 60 day e-class and a personal coaching session, all designed to help you evaluate what is working, figure out what you like, and get started with decoration.

Finally, for those of you who have your house mostly as you like it, but just forget to enjoy it and would like to get in the habit of relishing all you created, check out my jumpstart class:
Rekindle Your Passion (a 30 Day Jumpstart E-course)
Often in the process of healing and recovery work, we forget to focus on what is fun and beautiful in our lives. This course is designed to reawaken that awareness by sparking your everyday passion in small, concrete ways. At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Sprinkle each day with what lights you up.
- Know what the passionate choice is for you in any given situation.
- Seek what enchants you habitually, without much thought or effort.
The course is designed for people who don’t have hours every day to devote to it – most days will take between 15 seconds to 15 minutes, and can be easily incorporated into your everyday routine. Right now it’s just $29, and though of course I’m biased, I think it’s a lot of fun – read all the details here.

“Working with Liz allowed me to be brave–to stop looking for the reasons I couldn’t do something and instead to just do it. She is warm, kind, and incredibly responsive and supportive. I always felt cared for. Since our time together I was able to take the plunge and go all-in with my business, and I believe anyone who wants to live passionately can benefit from working with her. She also is full of wonderful, helpful resources; you never know what you’ll learn when you work with her!”

“Since working with you, I have become much more clear in my life goals and the steps that it takes to achieve them. I feel I am able to be more clear in my decision making process. I feel that I am generally able to approach any situation with more clarity and able to reframe them so that they make sense to me and I can learn the lessons life has planned for me. I liked that I felt like I was in capable hands in your knowledge of coaching and it’s techniques, but that it felt personal to me and that our process of coaching was unique to me and my specific issues and way of processing things.
I specifically needed help with my career goals, but I feel you could be helpful in any area of life and that the coaching structure is adaptable to any of these areas. You were always willing to adapt to what worked for me, but also push my boundaries of what I thought I could do. I also think you have excellent intuition, you described things and feelings very visually and many things you mentioned I thought about for weeks after they were said. I felt you always were open and honest with me, you didn’t sugar coat anything, but I always felt you provided a safe space for discussion and growth. “
